Image Editor

The Image Editor is Flokan's AI-powered image generation tool. It lets you create images for your YouTube content — thumbnails, social media posts, brand assets, scene illustrations, and more — using natural language prompts, style presets, and an interactive chat-based refinement workflow.

Unlike simple text-to-image tools, Flokan's Image Editor is designed for iterative creative work. You describe what you want, generate options, then refine through conversation until you get exactly the right image.

How It Works

The Image Editor follows a conversational workflow. Each session is a chat where you interact with the AI to progressively create and refine images.

1. Describe Your Image

Start by typing a natural language description of the image you want. Be as specific or as open-ended as you like:

• Specific: "A dramatic close-up of a person looking shocked at a laptop screen, warm lighting, cinematic style, 16:9 aspect ratio"
• Open-ended: "An eye-catching thumbnail for a video about productivity tips"

The more detail you provide — lighting, composition, style, mood, colors — the more accurately the AI can generate what you envision.

2. Choose a Style Preset

Style presets are saved configurations that define the visual aesthetic of your generated images. They act as "artistic directions" that the AI follows alongside your text prompt.

Built-in presets cover common YouTube use cases:

• Cinematic and dramatic styles for storytelling content
• Clean and professional styles for educational content
• Bold and vibrant styles for entertainment content
• Minimalist styles for tech and productivity content

Custom presets let you create and save your own style configurations. This is powerful for maintaining brand consistency — define your channel's visual style once, then apply it to every image you generate.

3. Generate Images

Click generate and the AI creates your image. Depending on the model tier you select, generation takes a few seconds to under a minute. You can generate multiple options to compare.

4. Refine Through Chat

This is where the Image Editor shines. After generating an image, you can continue the conversation to refine it:

• "Make the background darker and more dramatic"
• "Add more contrast and make the text stand out"
• "Change the color palette to blues and purples"
• "Make it more minimalist — remove the clutter"
• "Try a different angle, more from below looking up"

The AI remembers the full conversation context, so each refinement builds on previous iterations. You can go through as many rounds of refinement as you need.

AI Model Tiers

Flokan offers multiple model tiers to balance quality, speed, and credit cost:

You can switch model tiers between generations within the same session. Start with Standard for rapid brainstorming, then switch to Premium-Pro for the final version.

Style Presets in Detail

Style Editor

The Style Editor lets you create, edit, and manage your custom style presets. Each preset includes:

• Prompt template — A base prompt that gets combined with your specific request. For example, a "Cinematic" preset might include "dramatic lighting, shallow depth of field, film grain, cinematic color grading" automatically.
• Model preferences — Default model tier for this style
• Generation parameters — Fine-tuned settings that control the generation behavior

Managing Styles

• Create — Build a new style from scratch or by modifying an existing one
• Edit — Update any style's configuration at any time
• Delete — Remove styles you no longer use
• Share — Styles are workspace-scoped, so all team members can use them

Reference Images

In addition to text prompts, you can provide visual references to guide the AI:

• Upload reference images — Upload your own images as style or composition references
• Search for references — Find reference images to inspire your generation
• Combine text + visual — Mix a text prompt with one or more reference images for more precise control

Reference images are especially useful when you want to maintain a consistent visual style across multiple thumbnails or match a specific aesthetic you've seen elsewhere.

Session Management

Every generation session is automatically saved, so you never lose your work:

• History — Browse all your past sessions, organized by date
• Continue — Reopen any previous session and continue refining where you left off
• Download — Save any generated image to your local machine
• Save to Storage — Add generated images directly to your Flokan Storage for your team to access

Credits

Monitor your credit usage in Settings → Personal Billing to track how many credits you've used and how many remain in your current billing period.
