Billing & Plans

Flokan offers tiered subscription plans that scale with your team's needs. Plans determine your workspace limits, storage capacity, AI credit allocation, and access to premium features. This page explains the plan structure, credit system, and how to manage your subscription.

Plans

The Free plan lets you explore Flokan's core features with limited capacity:

  • 1 workspace
  • Limited members per workspace
  • Limited storage
  • Limited AI credits per month
  • Core features: Boards & Kanban, Storage, basic settings
  • No credit rollover

The Free plan is ideal for individual creators or for evaluating Flokan before committing to a paid plan.

  • No credit rollover

Scale (Pro)

  • Unlimited workspaces
  • Unlimited members per workspace
  • Unlimited storage
  • Large AI credit allocation per month
  • All features including priority support and early access to new features
  • Credit rollover — unused credits carry over to the next month

AI Credits

AI-powered features consume credits from your plan balance. The credit system is designed to be simple and transparent.

How Credits Work

Every AI operation (image generation, text processing, audio transcription) costs a certain number of credits. The cost varies by:

  • Operation type — Image generation costs more than text processing
  • Model tier — Standard models cost the least, Premium-Pro costs the most
  • Complexity — Larger or more complex requests may cost more

Credit Ownership

Credits belong to the subscription plan (owner-level), not to individual workspaces. If you own multiple workspaces, your credit balance is shared across all of them. This means your Image Editor usage in Workspace A and VO to Images usage in Workspace B both draw from the same pool.

Credit Rollover

  • Free and Starter plans: Unused credits expire at the end of each billing period. Use them or lose them.
  • Pro plan: Unused credits roll over to the next billing period, accumulating over time.

Monitoring Usage

View your credit balance and usage breakdown in Settings → Personal Billing:

  • Current balance
  • Credits used this period
  • Usage breakdown by feature (Image Editor, VO to Images, Thumbnail Generator, etc.)
  • Usage history over past billing periods

Beta Pricing

Early adopters who signed up during the beta period receive special permanent discounts:

  • 33% discount on all AI credit costs
  • 20% discount on Pro plan subscription price

These discounts are locked in for the lifetime of your account as a thank-you for early support.

Managing Your Subscription

Personal Billing

Navigate to Settings → Personal Billing to:

  • View your current plan — See which plan you're on and what's included
  • See credit balance — Current credits remaining and usage history
  • Upgrade — Move to a higher plan for more capacity and features
  • Downgrade — Move to a lower plan (see Downgrading section below)
  • Payment methods — Add, update, or remove credit cards and payment methods
  • Billing history — View past invoices and payment records

Workspace Billing

If you're the workspace owner, you can also access billing at the workspace level from Settings → Workspace Billing. This shows the same subscription information scoped to the specific workspace.

⚠️

Only users with billing management permissions can access billing settings. If you don't see billing in your settings menu, contact your workspace owner or administrator.

Downgrading

When you downgrade to a lower plan:

  • Feature access — Features not included in the lower plan become read-only. Your existing data is preserved, but you won't be able to create new items or use restricted features.
  • Workspace limits — If you have more workspaces than the lower plan allows, existing workspaces remain accessible but you can't create new ones until you're within the limit.
  • Member limits — If you have more members than the lower plan allows, existing members remain but you can't invite new ones until you're within the limit.
  • Storage limits — If your storage usage exceeds the lower plan's limit, existing files are preserved but you can't upload new ones until you free up space.
  • Credit balance — Remaining credits carry over (they don't disappear on downgrade).
  • Effective date — The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to your current plan until then.
